Team FOUR organises a roarsome Safari Summer for Chantry Place
In 2023, we have created free family-friendly events for Chantry Place.
This summer we held Safari Summer featuring a trail of 10 giant animal sculptures, free arts and crafts sessions in collaboration with the local company SchooDoodle, and visits from Banham Zoo and Africa Alive.
The dedicated FOUR team was responsible for the comprehensive planning and promotion of this event, handling everything from securing the safari animal sculptures and establishing partnerships with local businesses to creating incredible marketing materials and trail maps. Additionally, we arranged fantastic prizes, such as free children’s passes to the zoos and chances to win an annual membership to Banham Zoo and Africa Alive. Our efforts extended to writing and distributing press releases, collaborating with local influencers, and executing a social media campaign. Furthermore, we managed to pack 5,000 goody bags!
The free sculpture trail spanned the entire six-week summer holiday and saw an impressive turnout, with over 8,000 participants. ‘Wild Wednesdays’ featured SchooDoodle, Banham Zoo, and Africa Alive, providing sold-out arts and crafts sessions and engaging educational activities.
The organisation of this event demanded substantial effort and logistical finesse, but the results were worth it. Here are some key outcomes:
- 8,000 trail maps
- Thousands of competition entries
- 5,000 goody bags given out, plus additional vouchers and cards from the Zoos
- SchooDoodle sold out ahead of trail starting
- Extensive PR coverage
- Thousands of views and engagement across social media
- Increased footfall for the Centre
Following the event, we put together a debrief document that showcased our highlights as well as our learnings from the event.
